Several questions about sentence?

Hello!

This is my sentence:

The pledge agreements were signed with no real intentions and without any legal and economic grounds, as the transfer of funds has obviously been performed not as a financial guarantee for the loan, but actually as an illegal payment to John Smith, the owner of the Bank and member of the council, and to Company XXX, a company which he represents.

1. Can I use underlined "with no real intentions" in this context? It should mean that the agreements were superficial, they did not mean anything for those who signed them, they were signed only in order to have your documents in good order.
2. Can I say "John Smith, the owner of the Bank and member of the council", namely, a person's name and his title after that?
3. Any other gramatical mistakes?

Please take into account that this is not a serios legal document. It is paragraph from my practice paper in the university.

Thank you!
