i met several questions in my english test.

the answer is "which",why not ues "that"?

2,Children who are over-protected by their parents may become ___.

A. hurt B. spoiled C. damaged D. harmed

the answer is "damaged",why not ues "spoiled"?

3, It was there, the police believe, ______ she was able to activate the recorder she kept in her bag.

A. until B. which C. that D. when

1. I agree with you. 'which' is totally incorrect in this sentence. It should be 'that'.

2. I suppose either spoiled or damaged are possible. However, spoiled suggests a child who is not so much over-protected, as one who is given everything they ask for and the parents never say 'no' to.

3. Again, the correct answer here is 'that'. Absolutely not 'which'.

Nona The BritWho set this test for you? Number 2 is a little ambiguous, but to say that 'which' is the correct answer for number 1 and 3 is absolutely incorrect. It makes me worry about the abilities of your teacher.
