Several languages are in danger of extinction because they are spoken by very small numbers of people. Some people say that governments should spend public money on saving these languages, while others believe that would be a waste of money

It is true that many languages will be disappeared in the near future. In my opinion, I agree that government should not invest money to save those languages, but I believe that minority languages need to be protected and preserved.
There are many reasons explain why the government spends public money on guarding minority languages is a waste of money. Firstly, these languages serve for a low amount of people, so the government needs to invest into different aspects to make sure numbers of residents learn it will increase. This money is better if the state spends on other public services such as hospital or school in poverty areas. Secondly, the government completely should spend money to teaching major language to people are expert at minority language. Because investing for a few of people can study with available education system is obviously cheaper and more efficient than maintaining numbers of these people. In conclusion, the government should cut all kind of cost to continue saving minority languages.
For the reason mentioned above, I believe that several languages are spoken by a few people can supply many benefits, and these groups deserve to be preserved. Language not only helps people to communicate with each other but also informs all the culture of the community. If a language disappears, we will lose all heritage of the cultural diversity belong that language that makes societies more interesting. Therefore, I think that governments should spend money on saving these languages and preserving traditions, customs that are a part of country’s history.
In conclusion, it may save money in the short term if we allow minority languages to disappear, but in the long term this would have an extremely negative impact on our cultural heritage.
