Several expressions about forums

How to say the following in English?

1. Posting a lot of messages in forums, especially unmeaningful ones?

2. Only browsing posts and threads without replying.

3. Posting very long message(s) so that the whole page is his/her message?

I guess you have similar expressions in English. What I need is three words to describe the above actions, one for each.

Thanks in advance.

Hi I guess one could be "flooding". The second is "lurking". I have no idea for the third one.

Babbling? Emotion: smile Kidding. I don't think there is an established word. But we can create one. Soap-boxing?

Yes, I think you are right. There are similar expressions in my mother tongue as "flooding" and "lurking". Thanks.

Is it possible to post a picture here to show what the third expression means?

In Chinese, we call it "shuaping", which literally means "to brush the screen" .

Thanks.

As for the third one, I think "hogging" is the closest.

I have attached a picture here to show you what "hogging" is. But due to the size limit of the picture, it might be not big enough to be called "hogging".

One more question:

Sometimes if you think a thread is very good and worth reading, but you don't want to type much. You just type some very short words or signs, then the thread will be moved up to the top.

So what do you type in such a case?

Maybe "up"?
