Settle money to a bank account

When we want to say for example "I added some money to her bank account today." What is the suitable word instead of "add"? Is "add" right in the mentioned sentence? I found "settle" in Persian-English dictionary but I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly as you see in the title of this thread!

'I deposited some money into her bank account.'

Adding money to a bank account is called "depositing" or "making a deposit."

Your sentence would read: "I deposited some money into her bank account today."

Settle, in relation to money, usually refers to the settling of accounts, such as paying charges to close an account, or finalizing a bill/check at a restaurant or place of business.

Deposit money into a fund works as well. You can use "deposit", "invest", "set aside", "put away."
