Settle argument

We have an argument about correct grammer.

My friend tells me the sentence should read like this:

Join Mike and I for the latest news and weather.

I say it should read:

Join Mike and me for the lastest news and weather.

Who's right?

Thank you.

Dear friend, I am happy to tell you that you are quite right about the use of 'me' in the sentence. The words 'Mike' and 'me' function as direct objects, which means that pronouns in such a position are used in the objective case, and the objective case for the personal pronoun 'I' is 'me'. Well done!
