SETTING THE MAINTENANCE MODE

Please I 'd appreciate opinions about the following title.

SETTING THE MAINTENANCE MODE (this is the title of a paragraph) (What I want to say here is establishing or putting the machine in the maintenance mode. My question here is whether the verb SET is suitable here or maybe confuses the reader giving another meaning.)

For maintenance my understanding is operations such as repair, lubrication, cleaning.....operations carried out in order to keep the machine in good condition.

Is this word appropriate here?

Thanks
