set up, take up, do up, pick up (phrasal verbs)

Hi,

I´d be greatful if you could help me.

What is the meaning of these phrasal verbs in these phrases? The phrases are not taken from any context they are just mentioned as word partnerships in FCE organiser. Although I understand the phrasal verbs in partnership with other words, these are puzzling to me. My guesses are in the brackets.

set up an inquiry (launch???)
take up a collection (no guess Emotion: smile )
do up a present (wrap???)
pick up support (gain increasing amount of????)

Thanks.

Thanks. It doesn´t seem to be an FCE vocabulary. It seems more like a Proficiency English level.
