Is this sentence clear enough? What about series of journeys? Please, help me find a better phrase if this is akward. Thank you.
By travelling through South America he started his impressive series of journeys from Petrograd to Paris and he has visited 34 exotic countries so far.
Top answer
I think "impressive series of exploration" will be better and instead of "he has visited" you may write "he visited".

I find it a little confusing. From Petrograd to Paris, one doesn't need to leave Europe - so how does South America play a role in this? There's nice alliteration in Petrograd and Paris, but compared with the rest of the world, not a lot of miles seperate them.
Did he choose South America as the first place to visit? Did he literally start there, or did he go there for his first journey
sorry I've made a mistake. The sentence goes like this:

He literally followed the footsteps of the famous Croatian travel-writer M.S. Velican described his journey in his first book "Sunday every day
Okay, that makes more sense now. These aren't your questions, but a have a few other comments.
You have "he started...and visted." I think this would be best as "has visited."
The "so far" says he's continuing, but you say his "last journey." Is that one supposed to be his most recent journey, as opposed to his final journey? I read it as "final" so perhaps you could clarify
Thank you for your correction. I have written after your comments:
By travelling across South America he started an impressive series of exploration and has visited 34 exotic countries so far. His most recent journey was from Petrograd to Paris. He literally followed the footsteps of a famous Croatian travel-writer Mirko Seljan. Velican described his journeys in his first book "XY» and
