Sequential growth, consolidated revenue

For Q1 FY11, Bharti Airtel reported 14% sequential growth in consolidated revenue (up 17% Y-o-Y). However, the revenue include revenue from Zain Africa operations for 23 days amounting to Rs 958 crore after adjusting which the revenue growth stood 5% up Q-o-Q. The overall OPM was down 130 bps sequentially to 36.7%. The company has provided Rs 104 crore for proposed spectrum cost hike in India and also the Zain Africa contributed Rs 263.5 crore at operating level, after adjusting for both these items, the adjusted OPM improved by 40 bps to 38.4% for India & South Asia operations. The operating profit stood 10% up sequentially at Rs 4488.90 crore while operating profit (excluding Africa operations stood 3% up sequentially at Rs 4225.40 crore.
