Sequencing many events in a short and friendly way.

So, basically, i have to say the following:
I have been doing sports from 4 years which include gymnastics, tennis, judo, swimming and hockey.

But i want to do it in a friendly (however formal) way.

My best result was:
I first started gymnastics when I was only 4 years old, later I tried myself in swimming, tennis, judo and eventually hockey.

The point is that i am no longer doing any of them except for hockey. So how do i mention all but emphasise on hockey?

I first started participating in sports with gymnastics when I was only 4 years old. Later I tried swimming, tennis and judo, and now I am playing hockey.
