Sequence of tenses

Hi, i am not confident in these sentences:

1) we knew that new investment (adds, would add, has added) capacity to the supply of goods and services. (my variant - has added)

2) the president of the company said that they ( give up, has given up, had given up) the production of automobiles to produce agricultural machinery.( my variant- had given up)

3) mr.smith noted that his company ( makes, will make, would make) the best use of its resources. ( my variant - would make)
