Separate way

Hi everyone,
Is this sentence correct?
She warned them not to go their own separate ways.
My teacher told me that It is wrong and correct it in this way:
She warned them not to separate.
If both are correct then which one is better?
Thanks in advance.

Both are correct English but the meanings are slightly different. "to go their (own) separate ways" is a set phrase, referring to a parting that will see each party follow a different course in life. "Warning" someone not to do this is not tremendously usual, though.

virginia274Now With the explanation of GPY, I think The my teacher's sentence is more suitable for here.
Right, the expression "go their separate ways" doesn't really fit here.

In the blue sentence, "watching nature" seems a bit odd, and "vegetables" are usually plants grown by humans for food, so would not normally be growing in a forest.
