Sentences_rate

Hi all,

In my survey, doctors were requested to rate some indicators. I found that on a 10-cm scale most of them rated as 6cm. Would the following sentences appropriate?

- Following the visit of salesmen, mean responses to the convincing of the presentation, quality of information presented, intention to start or increase prescribing and value of the visit for improving knowledge were neutral.

Top answer

It's understandable, but grammatically it doesn't quite hang together. "the convincing of the presentation" is not right, you can't "respond to" an "intention to prescribe", and "to start or increase prescribing" is also awkward IMO. ) My suggestion: Following the visits of salesmen, doctors were asked to rate the persuasiveness of the presentation, the quality of information presented, the value of the visit in terms of knowledge gained, and the likelihood that they would start prescribing the salesman's products or prescribe them more frequently.

  • The mean responses were neutral on all points.
  • Quite probably you already know all this, but "most of them rated as 6 cm" is not sufficient information to tell whether the mean responses could accurately be described as "neutral" (it means that the statistical mode is 6).
