Sentences to correct

Hello. Could you please help me with these sentences:

1. the leak in the sweet water system

2. the boat leaned to both sides

the boat leaned over to both sides

3. In/at the trunk … (I believe it’s below the lower deck)

4. It was the case for both bolts (=it was true for both bolts; it was a situation which concerned both bolts)

5. The genoa tore apart during a light wind

6. The wheel turned in emptiness/in vacuum/ was not catching

(I mean the element it was attached to broke up so it was not attached to anything, turned very easily and did not work at all)

7. we had no choice but to take it out to the dry dock

8. the boat leans on the side on the starboard by about 5 degrees

9. The problem of (the) imbalance was, therefore, invisible and beyond suspicion.

10. We did not have the steering!

11. I could and should have been informed about the problem before the official purchase procedure, which was not the case.

1. the leak in the sweet water system This is not a sentence. There is no verb. You can write: There was a leak in the sweet (fresh) water system.

2. the boat leaned to both sides I don't understand this. You can say, "The boat was unbalanced and rocked dangerously."
