Sentences that don't begin with a Subject-Verb.

I was recently told to write sentences that don't begin subject-verb. Anyone have any examples? I'm sure once I see it it will be like DUH!
Thanks in advance,
Lance

So I assume she meant having the subject as the first word, the verb as the second(I walked my dog.).

Thanks a bunch,

Now I'm confused, Lance. What did your teacher say, precisely?

"At least two sentences should begin with something other than subject-verb."

Consider this:

(1) That way, your teacher is training you to vary your sentence structures.

You can see that the first two words that begin the sentence (1) above are neither the subject nor the verb of the sentence.

I hope this helps?

I see: so anything like Philipka's sentence, with an initial adverbial or preposition (On top of the hill, a cat sat licking its chops) or a nonfinite clause (Licking its chops, a cat sat on the hill) or other phrase, or a question, or an imperative sente
