These are apparently okay. But the first choice in the third sentence should be "Intellectual to the mind is what sight is to the body." - the second choice is okay. That is, you can't see a mind, like you can see a body. You can only access the mind through intellect."

sight is a noun. intellectual is an adjective. The noun form is intellect.


It would be better English to say Intellect is to the mind what sight is to the body.
