Sentences for true or false activity
Hi. Let us say/pretend that I am trying to write some sentences for a true and false activity. Let me also say that the true statements below are based on what I know to be so and may not be correct or true. I think there is only one false statement and that is number 8, and the rest are true.
1. A ruler is an instrument used to measure things.
2. A cat (The cat - correct? as it refers to its species?) has two legs.
3. The cat has a short tail.
4. 1 kilogram weights more than 1 gram.
5. A car usually goes faster than a bicycle.
6. A cat runs faster than a turtle.
7. A man can't fly.
8. The elephant (An elephant - correct?) doesn't have a trunk.

Hi. Thank you. I am sure, in addition to no. 8, no. 2 is also a correct/true statement in that a cat has four legs. Besides nos. 2 and 8, I think the rest are false.

I am sure, in addition to no. 8, no. 2 is also a correct/true statement in that a cat has four legs.
So you mean it's true, in the sense that a cat has one leg, and two legs , and three legs, and four legs? That's not how people would interpret the sentence.

Hi. Thank you. I am sure what I meant to say was, "Other than nos. 2 and 8 (and no. 7 in the meaning you proprosed - which I think is "a man can fly to another country by taking an airplane"), the rest are true (and not false as written before).
As to the use of the word "fly," I think we can write (in two ways besides the one I mentioned before):
