Sentences Feb 7

Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. Must have been a good time. ( I said this in response to a person’s comments about her wonderful vacation)

2. Does she sleep through nights (the night) ?

3. The hallway has a glass wall overlooking the outside. (I am trying to say that you can see the outside through the glass wall)

Thanks,

MG.

Thanks MM.
Mister Micawber2. Does she sleep through the night?

Can you explain your choice of 'the night' over 'nights'. I thought 'the night' is more appropriate when you are referring to a specific point of a night. Here we are referring the entire duration of a night.

'Through the night' is idiomatic, just like 'all day long' and 'from morning till night', etc.
