Sentences correction

Here are three sentences that i intend to write in a thanksgiving card for my teacher

I don't know whether they are right or not.

Here is a poet for you.

Love is more than a word.

..

Can I use this sentence here to express I want to give you the poet below?

Second question. Can I say"We have improved very much in this year."

Third question.If the unified exam is in end of this year ,it haven't come yet.

Can I say"Without your teaching, I don't think we will be able to handle the unified exam."
