Sentences about driving

These sentences have to do with driving.

Could you tell me how to correct say them?

1 I won a few minutes from taking the shortcut.

2 It takes as long if not longer this way as that way.

3 It takes as long if not shorter this way than/as that way. (Since both “as long” and a comparative is used, would you use than or as?)

4 I’ve never taken this route as a driver; only as a passenger.

5 Take/Make a wide turn.

thank you
