Are these sentences correct:
a) "There is a yoga course that opened in October of the last year, and which will be extended to June of this year."
b) "There is a yoga course that opened in October of the last year, and which will be extended until June of this year."
Take out "the". Also, "of" is optional.

This is wordy and comes across as clumsy. It would be simpler as October last year or last October.
Either 'to' or 'until' is OK, but note the other suggestions in this thread.
