Sentences

Are the following sentences correct?

1. I have just called Tower Hamlet Council and asked them if the bins will be collected tomorrow. The lady whom I spoke with told me that she is not sure as they bin men are extremely busy.

2. She also told that they are focusing on the general waste this week, and that the other waste will be collected the following week. We have been emailing you for the past weeks, but we seem to be getting no positive response.

3. The residents are not happy with the service, and they have made complaints to the council. This is unacceptable and we expect the council to do more to avoid this type of incident in the future.

4. I understand this is an on-going issue in the development, and the residents have told me that they have experienced similar problem in the past.

5. I would like to arrange a meeting with prominent members of the council so that we can put an end to this. Otherwise, I will have no option but to get the local MP involved.
