Does "such" in this sentence mean "very"?

What does it mean?

What does "as it stands" mean?

Why don't they say "are going on..."?
5. Near subway line for 8 kilometers journey to international school.
Does this sentence mean "it takes 8 kilometers to arrive to internationl school?
