Bird eggshells contain calcium carbonate and vinegar contains acetic acid. Bird eggshells dissolve in vinegar and the calcium carbonate in an egg shell reacts with the acid to form bubbles (carbon dioxide) until there is nothing left but a flickering egg. I don't know what 'a flickering egg' means.
