hello, i am not a native english . may i know, what is this means?

This explains why a woman will forgive an attractive boyfriend for a great deal, and marry him ONLY TO FIND OUT that she really can't live with his behavior long-term.

I dont know how to use this phrase -ONLY TO FIND OUT. where should i refer?
