Are the following sentences acceptable?

1. On that day, l forgot to take my watch with me to the party, so I couldn't tell my mom what time she should pick me up.

2. I will certainly buy you a new watch of the same brand and model.

3. Next time when I go to school, I will visit you in person to express my apology and give a new watch back to you.

The first one is grammatical, but I don't understand the logic. Even if I don't have my watch, I could still ask that she pick me up at a certain time. I would omit "on" - That day, I forgot to take my watch.

I would omit "on" - That day, I forgot to take my watch. Or I forgot to take my watch that day

Rather than "to express my apology" try "to apologize." You can't give a new watch back to someone - you can only give back what the
