(1) is correct. The sentence is short for, " Most of my classmates each ride a bicycle to school."

and so, (3) is correct.

I'm confused with your answer. Someone tells me the reason as following:

(1) is wrong because they don't all ride the same bike.

Therefore, I got perplexed.

The logic behind the grammar is that EACH of the majority of your classmates rides a (one) bicycle.
