I am not sure whether the three sentences make sense in term of grammar and semantics. 

Can you give me a hand with checking them

1. It is a laptop that enables me to know what happen in my country or in the world when I travel to other countries.

2. I work as a journalist. Although I travel to other countries in order to alleviate my stressful emotions, visit my foreign friends, or whatever, I am still concerned with both domestic and international news.

3. I can feel less homesick if I have a small talk with my family or have a gossip with friends on the Internet.

Here are my suggestions. I have tried to make them correct while chnaging as little as possible.

1. A laptop enables me to know what is happening in my country or in the world when I travel to other countries.

2. I work as a journalist. Although I travel to other countries in order to alleviate my stressful feelings, visit my foreign friends, or whatever, I am still concerned with both domestic and international news.

3. I can feel less homesick if I have a small talk with my family or have a gossip with friends on the Internet.

2 and 3 are not bad the way you wrote them.

We would usually say "travel abroad" rather than "travel to other countries", although there's nothing wrong with it.

The phrase "small talk" has a special meaning; it refers to an unimportant discussion, such as girls chattering about makeup and boyfriends. I particular it often refers to talk about mundane things in order to "break the silence" and avoid embarrassment. The phrase never has an article before it.

"We engaged in small talk until the receptionist called Judith to see the dentist".

So the phrase "have a small talk" would not be used in English. Instead we would say "have a chat" or "have a talk" or "have a discussion". If the noun were to be qualified, we'd probably use "short" or "friendly" or "brief" rather than "small".
