Sentence wording and structure

Is the bold segment correctly worded and structured with the rest of the sentence? Or should I add 'in' before 'a conflict'? When her army attacked Palanthas in 357 AC, a conflict that became known as the Blue Lady's War, Kitiara used a nightjewel to enter the Tower of High Sorcery and tried to kill Dalamar, though he mortally wounded her in the process.
