Hi,
I am writing a report about a meeting that was held this evening.
We were discussing a certain issue and weren't able to reach a conclusion so we decided that it will be left to the decision of a sub committee.
Is this sentence correct - "This matter is deferred to the Sub Committee" OR "This matter is deferred to the Sub Committee for a decision"?
I want to say that we have left the matter to them and they will make a decision about it.
Thanks!

Your description here is all in the past tense. nshuzn Is this sentence correct - "This matter is deferred to the Sub Committee" It seems to me, considering your description above, that this should be This matter was deferred to the subcommittee.
