Dear teachers,

Would you please help me finish the following sentence?

Tony's wife ………… (what can I add here, the fact that she is pregnant ? or something else ?) OF TWO WEEKS visited her cousin at the beach.

Many thanks,
Hela

Hela, I don't understand what's wrong with it as it stands. Tony's wife of two weeks - this means they were married two weeks ago. Did you need to include the information that she is pregnant?

A little morbid, but you could add to the sentence this way:

Tony's wife of two weeks nearly drowned when she visited her cousin at the beach.

(Or are you really supposed to separate "wife" and "of two weeks"?)

You're right, Grammar Geek.

You're idea is great, Yankee. I'll use it. Emotion: smile

All the best,

Hela
