Sentence structute

Can anyone help me? My friend invited me to a party and I replied back at him saying "I won't be able to come, thousands of pardons."

Is my sentence correct? Shouldn't that be wouldn't?

" "won't" is fine if you are making a definite prediction. The more usual phrase is "a thousand pardons", but there seems no reason why you should not say "thousands of pardons" for variety if you wish. The punctuation seems unsatisfactory, but it is not totally clear how best to punctuate it.
