Sentence structures

Could anybody check for my answers?

(1)The water didn't feel very cool to me today.(find)
I didn't find the cool of the water.
According to my dictionary, cool can be used as a noun.
But I think it sound strange to be used as a noun , I think it should be coolness .
(2)He knew that he would never reach there in time.(despaired)
He despaired of never reaching there in time.
(3)We didn't understand what was happening around us.(confused)
We are confused with that what was happening around us.
(4) Everyone speaks well of her.(spoken)
She is spoken well by everyone.
I don't know whether the "of" and "everyone" can be omited.
(5) It was your fault that she was punished by the teacher.(caused)
You caused her being punished by the teacher.
(6) She never told her secret to anyone.(make)
I really don't know how to solve with this question.
