Sentence Structure Question

So for some revision I'm trying to figure out the subject and predicate of this sentence.

'Later, they would learn that his leg was numb because he had a back injury.'

So I've come to the conclusion that the subject is 'they' but I'm having trouble identifying the predicate, and if the sentence is just one clause.

Any help would be much appreciated.
