Sentence structure and grammar problem.,. Help me!

Is the sentece " i feel sorry for then as they dont know how the cows taste" correct? And " i was exited to study in That country but on the other hand, i wasnt exited at all" is this sentence legit? Thank you gor your assistance in advace in case i cant thank you and sorry for small I.
