Hi teachers, can anyone tell me the difference between these two?

I have been busy all day.

eg I have been busy all day. Now I am going to stop.

I had been busy all day. The speaker is referring to the period up to some earlier event or time.

eg I arrived home two hours ago. I had been busy all day so I went to bed for a three-hour nap
