Sentence Structure

1. Bombs can be disposed by using robots.
2. Bombs can be disposed of by using robots.
3. Bombs can be disposal by using robots.
Are these 3 sentences grammatical? Thanks.

Only 2. is correct. (1. is wrong because it requires "of", and in 3. "disposal" is a noun, but a verb is required.)

The verb "dispose" (meaning 'get rid of') requires the preposition "of".

For example, "He disposed of the garbage" is fine, but not *"He disposed the garbage"
