sentence structure

Like many other land animals, elephants have four legs to move them around. But just because elephants have four legs doesn’t mean they use them in the same way as other four-legged animals. In a recent study, a team of scientists found that the giant animals used their legs in a surprising way, a way unlike that used by most other quadrupeds.

Q) In the last sentence, what is sentence structure for "a way unlike that used ..." part ?

Is "a way" modified by the relative clause "that?"
