Could you tell me whether the following sentence sounds natural?
Particularly, I am not sure if the underlined part is acceptable in terms of English grammar.

If the ice on the Arctic Ocean melts, a new sea route linking the Pacific with the Atlantic will be available making shipping time cultailed up to 3 weeks half of the present 6 weeks.
