Sentence Structure

Could you tell me whether the following sentence is fine?
I am a little worried if it is too long and complicated to sound natural.

Modern companies try to give consumers more choice in the types of products by making their prices range from low to high prices even when the consumers buy the same kind of products.

That seems too much to squeeze into the first sentence.
Add another,
eg In addition, each product comes in various quantities and qualities.
