In a sentence if you have more than two subjects - what order are they placed? eg., Mary, him and me are going to the store...

what is the correct form? thanks soooo much

I'd probably use "He, Mary, and I are going to the store."

That would make sense because we've probably already been talking about "him" (whoever that is) or you would say "John, Mary, and I..."

Please note that as the subjects of the sentence, you need "he" not "him" and "I" not "me."

When I was in school, the teachers always said the put the I last because it was "more polite" to put yourself last!

Anyway, whatever the reason, that's the way we do it.
