Sentence structure

Question

I speak English fluently, but of course I can't write as well as a native English speaker. As for most foreigners, my sentence structure is sometimes quite bad, but this is difficult for me to realize.

Do you have any advice (or links) for improving my sentence structure? Are there any typical mistakes that foreigners do when writing English?

in my openion you should write and read more.. the best thing that can help you i s reading.. and i think there are some books to help you to write in a good way and structure depends on what way you wanna write? for ielts exam? for tofel ? bussiness? ...

Hi Anon [why don't you pick a name?],
There are three parts to mastering a language--speaking, reading and writing. They each require different skills even though it is all the same language.

Personally, I think writing is the most difficult of the three. Just look at the writing of some native English speakers! They can speak OK, but their sentence structure and word choice is terrible.

If you had a USB port in your head so that you could download all the grammar rules and examples into your brain, it would be much quicker. As it is, you just have to work at it every day. Try to read examples of good writing. The news websites of the BBC and the New York Times feature writers with an excellent command of English, and there are many other sites that have top-notch writers.

If you want to become a good writer, you have to write. Sounds obvious, but many people just don't take the time to do it every day, which is what you need. Write in your journal several times a day, publish a blog [great way to practice and have fun!], write emails to your English friends, and practice taking English tests.

I'm sure you can think of other ways to practice writing, but the important thing is DON'T STOP--write, write, write. We're here to help you correct problems with your sentences and make them shine.

It takes time, but you will succeed.

when i wanted to sat ielts, my best friend suggested that i should KISS my writing.. it means Keep It Simple Sweetie!!!!!!
when you want to focus on the structure you will make it complicated, so just write in a simple way with a correct grammer.
