Is it incorrect to begin a sentence with 'between' on an essay. My spell check keeps saying it is wrong but doesn't say what to do about it. thanks

As Clive said, it's ok to start a sentence with 'between'.
Between them they own most of this company.
Between us, we can finish the job in a couple of hours.
