Sentence sounds ok?

Hi, does this sentence sound ok to you?

We specified the requirements to be fulfilled in the construction of state-of-the-art accelerators that could be used for the production of nuclei.

  • Also, if accelerators are always used only for the production of nuclei (and I don't know the physics of this), then you can shorten your sentence by leaving that out.
