Sentence Review.

Hi,

Which sentences make more sense.

a) Tilting back my chair, I rested my head against the kitchen wall, and with my eyes closed, I took occasional sips of wine.
Or
b) Tilting my chair back, I rested my head against the kitchen wall, and with my eyes closed, I took occasional sips of wine.

Also.

a) I threw those pieces into the air above my head and tiny bits of paper fell down on me like a snowfall.
Or
b) I threw those pieces up into the air above my head and tiny bits of paper fell down on me like a snowfall.

Hi Ryan. In the first group, ( a) and ( b) are identical. In the second group, the only difference is the verb - throw, and throw up.

In the first group, ( a) and ( b) are identical.

In the second group, the only difference is the verb - throw, and throw up.

With the first one I just wasn't sure which on of 'Tilting my chair back' or 'Tilting back my chair' sounded better?
