Sentence question

Hello, 

I am not sure whether this short paragraph makes sense in term of grammar and semantics. 

Can you give me a hand with checking them

I immediately followed my intuition to decide to go to Miami for study tour without considering other crucial factors, such as Miami's weather, social and cultural background so on. When I arrived in Miami, I just found out that the majority of the residents speak Spanish rather than English. Therefore, the decision I made in a rush is always unwise and wrong.
