How could you don't look at her when she dressed so attarctive?

Her legs crossed and her purse on her knee.

She was reading a magazine on her knee.

A few problems, yes.

How could you not look at her when she is dressed so attractively?
(You can't have both a modal - could - and the auxiliary do before the same verb.)

Her legs are/were crossed, and her purse is/was on her knee.
(You have to have verbs in these clauses.)
