sentence possibility: can or could

Is it right to use either one in this sentence, and is there any difference:

'Could' I use this example in the exam.
'Can' I use this example in the exam.

Top answer

Both sentences are questions and need to be terminated by a question mark. Otherwise they are both correct. "can" feels more direct and definite.
