Sentence pattern: SVCA or SVC?

Dear teachers,

What's the pattern of the following sentence, please? SVCA... or SVC ?

Yesterday was the happiest day of the year for me.

yesterday = subject
was = intensive verb

a) the happiest day = subject-related complement // of the year = adverbial of time (optional or obligatory ?) // for me = ?
OR
b) the happiest day of the year for me = subject-related complement

Can a subject-related complement be followed by an adverbial (obligatory or optional)?

Many thanks,
Hela

"for me":
- expresses the goal, the target? Does it have a particular labelling?
- as far as the sentence structure is concerned it seems optional since the sentence still makes sense without it.
- semantically, however, it seems to be necessary.

Yes, it is grammatically optional and semantically necessary; this is so for many sentence components.
